Referral Program Terms

1. Overview
The Decorium Referral Program ("Program") rewards existing customers for introducing friends and family to our custom curtain and blind services. Every customer whose order has been fully installed is eligible to participate.
By participating in the Program โ either by sharing a referral code, using a referral code, or claiming a reward โ you agree to these Terms. Decorium may update these Terms from time to time; the version in force when a referral is made will apply to that referral.
2. The Rewards
For the New Customer (person using a code)
$100 credit off their first Decorium order.
Minimum order value $1,500 (inc. GST).
For the Referrer (person sharing the code)
One reward of your choice per successful referral:
- $150 cashback โ bank transfer to your nominated account
- $200 store credit โ applied to a future Decorium order
- Free accessory pack โ curtain tie-backs + cushion covers (value approx. $150)
A referral is considered successful once the referred customer's order has been fully installed at their property. You may refer as many friends as you like โ rewards are paid per successful referral, not capped.
3. How it Works
- Receive your code. After your curtains are installed, we send you a personal code (format DCR-XXXX) via WhatsApp and email.
- Share it. Share the code with friends, family, neighbours, or anyone considering curtains or blinds.
- Your friend uses the code. When they enter it on their Decorium quote, they see $100 off immediately (subject to minimum order value).
- You earn as they progress. You'll receive a WhatsApp update when your friend pays their deposit, and another when their curtains are installed.
- Pick your reward. Once their installation is complete, you can claim your reward from the "Your Referrals" section of your Decorium customer page. You have 14 days from the date your reward becomes claimable to choose.
- We pay it out. After Decorium's internal approval (usually within 2 business days), cashback is transferred, store credit is added to your account, or your accessory pack is shipped.
4. Eligibility
- The person being referred must be a new Decorium customer โ not an existing or past customer.
- The referred customer's phone number, email, and address must be different from the referrer's.
- You cannot use your own code on a second order of your own.
- Minimum order value for a referral code to apply is $1,500 inc. GST.
- Only one referral code can be applied per order.
- Referral codes cannot be combined with other promotional discounts or ambassador commissions.
- Codes are non-transferable and remain the property of Decorium; we may deactivate or reissue codes at our discretion.
5. When Rewards are Earned
Rewards unlock after the referred customer's installation is fully complete. This protects both parties: we don't pay out on cancelled jobs, and you're guaranteed the referral actually went through.
If a referred customer cancels, pauses, disputes, or charges back their order, the associated reward remains pending until the matter is resolved. If the order is ultimately not completed, the reward is voided.
6. Payout Timing
- Cashback: paid within 14 business days of claim approval via bank transfer. You will be asked for your BSB + Account number at claim time.
- Store credit: applied to your next Decorium quote within 1 business day of approval; valid for 12 months from issue date and non-refundable if not used.
- Accessory pack: shipped or made available for collection within 30 days. Pack contents are subject to stock availability โ substitutions of equivalent value may apply.
7. Fair Use
Decorium reserves the right to void any referral where we have reasonable grounds to suspect abuse, fraud, or gaming of the Program. This includes but is not limited to:
- Self-referrals (using your own code on your own order);
- Referrals between related parties sharing a household, business, or financial relationship;
- Fake or artificially created leads;
- Orders that are later refunded or charged back;
- Coordinated schemes to inflate referral counts.
In such cases, the referrer and referred customer are notified in writing and the associated reward is voided.
8. Tax & Reporting
Referral rewards paid as cashback are a marketing reward, not income from a business relationship with Decorium. If you believe your rewards may constitute assessable income (for example, if you receive multiple rewards in a financial year), you are responsible for declaring them to the Australian Taxation Office as appropriate.
Decorium does not withhold tax on referral rewards. We recommend consulting a registered tax agent if you are unsure.
9. Changes to the Program
Decorium may update these Terms, adjust reward values, or end the Program at any time. The Terms in force at the time a referral code is used on a quote will apply to that referral. We recommend checking this page periodically for updates.
10. Disputes
If you believe a reward was incorrectly withheld or calculated, contact us at info@decoriumcurtain.com.au within 60 days of the disputed event. We respond within 14 days and aim to resolve disputes in good faith.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia.
