Blinds, Measured and Fitted by Our Own Team
Blinds are the clean, practical answer for kitchens, bathrooms, apartments and any window where a curtain would be in the way. We measure at your home, bring the fabric samples, and fit roller, zebra, honeycomb and Venetian blinds made to the millimetre.
Free in-home measure · fabric samples brought to you · made in our own workshop · installed in 2–3 weeks · 2-year workmanship warranty
Roller blinds
The workhorse. A single fabric panel that rolls onto a tube at the top of the window, inside the frame for a flush look or outside it for full coverage. Three fabric families do three different jobs:
- ✓Sunscreen — cuts glare and UV, keeps the view out, no privacy at night
- ✓Translucent (light-filtering) — privacy day and night, soft light in
- ✓Blockout — full darkness for bedrooms and media rooms
- ✓Dual roller — a sunscreen and a blockout on one bracket, for the best of both
Zebra blinds
Also called day-night or vision blinds. Two layers of alternating sheer and solid bands move past each other, so you dial the light from open to private with one pull. A modern look that suits living rooms and bedrooms where a roller feels too plain.
Honeycomb (cellular) blinds
A pleated fabric with a honeycomb cross-section that traps air against the glass. The best insulating blind we fit — noticeably warmer in winter and cooler in summer — in light-filtering or blockout fabrics, and available top-down/bottom-up so you can keep privacy at eye level and still see the sky.
Venetian blinds
Horizontal slats you tilt for exactly the light you want, in aluminium or timber-look finishes. Good for offices, kitchens and bathrooms, and for anyone who wants to adjust the light through the day without raising the blind.
How we measure and fit
A blind lives or dies on the measurement: a few millimetres out and it rubs the frame or leaves a light gap. We measure every window ourselves at the free visit, decide inside- or outside-frame with you, and fit the finished blinds on the day they arrive. Motorised and child-safe cordless options are available on roller, zebra and honeycomb blinds.
- ✓Inside-frame for a clean, recessed look
- ✓Outside-frame for maximum light block
- ✓Motorised — remote or app
- ✓Child-safe cordless and chain-tensioned options
Questions people ask
Which blind is best for a bedroom?+
A blockout roller blind, or a blockout honeycomb if you also want insulation. For complete darkness in a bedroom, pair a blockout blind in the window with a blockout curtain in front.
Which blind keeps the heat in?+
Honeycomb (cellular) blinds — the air trapped in the cells acts like double glazing. Blockout rollers help too; sunscreen rollers are for glare, not warmth.
Can I see out through a sunscreen blind?+
Yes, by day. A sunscreen cuts glare and UV while keeping the view. At night, with lights on inside, it becomes see-through from outside, so it is not a privacy blind for bedrooms.
Inside or outside the window frame?+
Inside-frame sits neatly within the reveal and looks built-in; it needs enough depth in the frame. Outside-frame mounts on the wall above and overlaps the frame for better light control. We advise at the measure.
Do you do curtains and blinds in the same home?+
Yes, and often on the same window — a blockout roller behind a sheer curtain is a popular combination. One measure, one quote, one install.
